Join us for a hands-on class where you'll learn to build the timeless Moxon Vise, a twin-screw work-holding fixture deeply rooted in furniture-making history. Inspired by its original depiction in Joseph Moxon's 17th-century work, The Art of Joinery, this project combines practicality with tradition. You'll discover how to craft this versatile accessory, ideal for stabilizing boards with exceptional force during joinery, shaping, or carving tasks. The design also allows you to raise your workpiece to a comfortable and ergonomic height, enhancing your workflow. Additionally, its portable nature ensures easy mounting on various surfaces and convenient storage options when not in use. Perfect for woodworkers of all skill levels, this class promises to blend functionality, craftsmanship, and a touch of historical charm. You will be taking home a custom piece of work with all of the required hardware (over $75 value in materials alone).
👟 What to Bring: Closed-toed shoes, no loose clothing or jewelry. All materials, tools, and safety equipment provided.
