Community Classes

At the Bull City Woodshop, our Community Classes invite adults of all skill levels to explore the art of woodworking in a warm and inclusive environment. Guided by experienced mentors, participants can engage in a variety of hands-on projects—from introductory joinery to furniture repair—while learning the safe use of both hand and power tools. These classes not only foster individual creativity and confidence but also strengthen community connections through shared craftsmanship.

Community Classes FAQ's

I’m a BEGINNER, beginner. Like never-used-a-tool-before beginner. What class is good for me?

All our classes are beginner friendly, but a great place to start is our Power Tools 101 or our EMPOWER class. You only need to take Power Tools 101 once, but EMPOWER is offered every month with a different project so you can take that class on an ongoing basis.

Can I bring my kid with me to class?

Some of our Adult Classes are appropriate for kids over the age of 13. Please check with the BCW prior to booking to ensure that class is appropriate. We also offer Parent/Child workshops from time-to-time which are ideal for a parent and younger child ages 5+

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We provide all materials and safety equipment. Please wear closed-toed shoes, no loose or baggy clothes or jewelry, and any long hair tied back. Please also be mindful of the weather as the shop is currently not climate controlled.

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer a full refund up to 7 days before the class. We can issue a transfer of registration if you cancel up to 3 days prior to the class. There are no refunds within the 7 day cutoff and no transfers of registration within the 3 day cutoff.
