Cutting Board Class

Create a beautiful, fully finished hardwood cutting board in this immersive two-day woodworking experience! This project is ideal for beginners looking to build confidence and for makers who want hands-on time with a wide range of tools.

Over the course of two sessions, you’ll select premium hardwoods, mill them to size, glue up your panel, and then shape, sand, and finish your custom board. By the end, you’ll walk away with a durable, food-safe cutting board you made from scratch — and the knowledge to make more.

This project is offered as a private group class, not an individual sign-up. Most sessions require 4 or more participants.

What You’ll Learn

Day 1:

• Selecting and combining hardwoods
• Using the planer, jointer, table saw, and miter saw
• Preparing lumber for glue-up
• Gluing and clamping your board

Day 2:

• Flattening your panel with the planer
• Shaping your board with the router and sander
• Final smoothing and finishing
• Optional: Personalizing your board with the laser engraver (time permitting)

• Duration: 2 days (10am–3pm structure, flexible for private scheduling)
• Ages: Adults (18+)
• Price: $200 per person, includes:

What to Bring:
Closed-toed shoes; avoid loose clothing and jewelry. All tools, materials, and safety gear are provided.

We can offer a full refund up to 7 days before the class. We can issue a transfer of registration if you cancel up to 7 days prior to the class. There are no refunds within the 7 day cutoff and no transfers of registration within the 7 day cutoff.
